One day, our mummy asked us if we would like to start our own blog...we said "Yes!!!" So, here is our world at DR TOOT. Our daddy, DR TOOT is not a doctor for humans or not for us either...for wind musical instruments, such as flutes, saxophones, clarinets, piccolos, trumpets, cornets, trombones, euphoniums, french horn...etc ! DR TOOT repairs brass & woodwind musical instruments, sells pre-loved (used/secondhand) instruments and teaches at home in Howick, Auckland, New Zealand.

I don’t like change…
As cats, we get used to our area and castle. I like things to be just so. Chairs in the right place, and everything as it should be. Rico was a change. Life was simple with just daddy and I. We had the cottage, we had each other. Mummy came, and for me it was good because daddy seemed more settled and less demanding of my time.
We moved to a bigger place and there was change. New estate, new furniture, better life. Then Rico came, and again changed. We lowered our standards and behaviour. I was always so relaxed and even. Now I get I bit bad tempered and I don’t like sharing my sleeping quarters with…..Rico !
And today, yet more change. Mummy and daddy have sold a large couch that daddy sometime slept on when he was a bit naughty. The couch is gone, so that must mean that daddy is a good boy now :-) This morning mummy and daddy have re-arranged the office and my living room which makes me very very confused. I like things simple, just like Rico.
On Friday morning, a lady that looked just like mummy, with her husband came to see DR TOOT with her Yamaha Custom alto sax that she played in Japan when she was a young girl. She and mummy talked in moshi language which I could not understand. She seemed very nice and it was nice for mummy to see someone from her own home country. Again, I am confused, because Rico says that mummy is really Italian…..I am confused :-)
A few days ago, we received yet another shipment from Japan. A big and little saxophone. The big one was very shinny and was also confused. It had the brand Kawai on it which is from Japan, but it says made by B&S which is made in Germany. Life is confusing. The other saxophones is a rare Yanagisawa Elimona which was made in 1979. Daddy says this is an amazing saxophone and some very lucky persona will have this soon…we hope !
Yesterday a mummy and her daughter came to DR TOOT to pick up a Yamaha YAS32. The young girl looked so happy to have a saxophone for herself. It was a beautiful saxophone and I know she will have many happy moments with it. She is a lucky girl !
I have talked a lot about changes this week, but you know privately I wouldn’t change anything. I am happy with our home with mummy, daddy and yes, most of the time, Rico. Rico just gets under my fur sometimes and can be very immature, but that’s life ! We can’t be all as perfect as me :-) Time to go and wish you all a wonderful week and remember there is only two more weeks of school till the end of term !
