Good evening my subjects. As Alfa mentioned last week, we
have a new worker here helping daddy at DR TOOT. Her name again is Fumi and she
started on Monday. The first job to do, was top pick up a lot of instruments
from a school in south Auckland. Once they picked them up, it was head down and
bottom up with the repairs. The two of them work well and I did pop in now and
then to make sure they were both working hard. Her English is good and she was
able to understand everything daddy said. Even I don’t understand everything daddy
says. Anyways….they were working hard there and mummy was working hard in the
office. I was working hard making sure everything was working together…..Alfa
was sleeping….
This week, two instruments arrived in from Japan. A French,
Courtois Flugelhorn and a Yamaha YFL311 flute. Daddy and Mummy are both very excited
to have these instruments and I am sure they will find a new home soon. As well
as these instruments, many repairs too have arrived in. So busy in the shop.
Some instruments have found new homes this week. On Sunday a
Yamaha YAS275 was picked up in the evening, and Yamaha YFL411 went down to
Wellington and a Yamaha trombone went to a friend of daddy’s. I always feel so
happy when they find new homes. Today a
clarinet ligature is on it’s way to Honolulu. It’s good for them and it helps put cat food
in our pretty bowls.
Today, daddy played tuba for the Howick Brass Band in the
Howick Historical Village. Daddy looked so handsome in his uniform. They played
Christmas carols for 2 hours. Speaking of Christmas…..Mummy has put up the
Christmas tree in the living room. Alfa has already been told many times to
stop playing with the decorations. She thinks it’s a real tree.. I mean really
Alfa!!!!
I better go. It is going to be a really crazy busy week this
week coming and I know that Alfa will have plenty to share with you. As I type
this, I can hear mummy yelling out, NO ALFA NO! Leave that tree alone. I better
go and sort her out. Big fur ball to everyone J
