BANG BANG BANG!!! I hate New Years Eve. Why do you humans
have to make so much noise to bring in the new year? I had Alfa snuggle up to
me all night. She was too hot and too much, but she is my baby sister. I must
say thank you Alfa for sharing the blog last week with me. We got our points
across and 2014 will be an exciting year for all of us. The first day of the
new year started with a sale of a Besson Tenor Horn. Yes that is right. A
gentleman that we deal with often came by our home and bought the tenor horn we
had for sale. Mummy and Daddy thought it was a great start for the new year.
On New Years Eve, Daddy’s brother Kerry arrived from
Canada to start a new life here in New Zealand. He is staying at daddy’s other
brothers house, until he get himself sorted. Kerry arrived here last year at
about this time and stayed in NZ for just over 3 weeks. He must of loved it
here, because, he is now a NZ citizen. I
will talk about Kerry later……
On Thursday January 2nd, it was Rico’s second
anniversary since he died. Alfa and I spent some time over Rico’s spot. Alfa
never met Rico. Alfa joined us a few weeks after Rico was killed. It’s because
of Rico that Alfa is with us now…..GEEE….Thanks Rico…
In the next few weeks, many instruments will be arriving
from Japan looking for new homes in New Zealand. Vintage tenor sax, saxophones,
some clarinets and trombones, just to mention a few. Please check out our
website for more information. Daddy’s workshop is a no go zone for me. Fumi and
daddy are working so hard. Everyday I see nothing else but saxophones all over
the place. Even though it’s holiday time, daddy just keeps working on. Because
daddy keeps working, that means mummy too has to keep working to keep the
invoices going. The pile is getting lower. Keep it up!!!
Back to Kerry….Last night Mummy and Daddy had a BBQ on
and had invited some guests, including Kerry who arrived late in the afternoon
by ferry. He is taller than daddy and has quite a presence. He stayed the night
in mummy’s office, which is next to the bathroom which is Alfa’s and my
bedroom. In the early hours of the morning, he needed to use the human dirt box
and accidently stepped on my tail. I yelled out loud. I am Queen Zara, and
nobody steps on MY tail. For the rest of the morning I avoided him. He has now
gone back to his other brother’s house and I can relax again……for now.
