Happy Mother’s Day !!!

Zara here. Just don’t what you to think that it is Alfa. As you can see, Alfa has been pretty busy with the blog. I work with daddy on the blog and daddy has been a bit too busy recently. Last Sunday he went to friends to watch Master Chef, the week before it was NZ POPS. It’s been a very very busy week this week. On Tuesday, daddy’s human daughter left with a friend to the UK and Europe. Kathryn was the one that chose me you see, many years ago. Daddy has been sad and happy for her. She will be back in about 6 months, so in the mean time, I must do all I can to make him feel warm and wanted.

As you can see from the title, it’s Mothers Day. This is the day that we all give thanks to our mums for all the work and love they do for us. Like last year, Alfa and I gave daddy some money for him to go to the shops and pick out some yummy chocolates for mummy. Last year it was chocolate covered almonds which sort of looked like Alfa’s p##. This year was much better and I chose something much better looking. We also did a lovely card for her and signed at the bottom. I think I am rather clever. So to all the mothers out there, we hope you had a PURRRRRRDECT Day. J

This week a few instruments have found new homes. A Yamaha YCL450 semi pro wooden clarinet, has found a loving home in Auckland, a Yamaha vintage YAS31 alto sax has found a home on Waihike Island and a Yamaha YFL 351 flute has found a home just near our home. The young girl and her mother and sister came by on Saturday to pick it up. We know that they will all love their new instruments from DR TOOT. Also this week, we had a large shipment of Selmer (Paris) clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces including a range of ligatures and some accessories. It’s all happening here!! As well as the sale and accessories coming in, we also received a couple of instruments in from Japan. One is a Yamaha Custom 800 series trumpet in silver plate finish and the other was a Yamaha YCL 650F clarinet. Pretty cool eh???

Teaching has started for the new term and our house is alive with the sounds of saxophones and flutes. A few students are working hard for their exams and other are just simply working hard. It’s so good to see them all back again and giving me a smile when they enter my home. Please have a wonderful week to come and remember to love your mummy’s. You never know when your next meal may come!!!!
