Like the title says “ Time keeps on slipping”. It was 3
years ago on Friday that Taka had his first day at DR TOOT. Taka is a very
special person in our team and his expertise in his repairs in both woodwind
and brass has been greatly appreciated and both the shop and customers have
enjoyed. When he is not repairing, he is training Jordan in the art of Woodwind
repairs and Daddy teaches in the art of Brasswind repairs. There is always
something to learn, no matter how long you have been working. I am always
teaching Alfa some basic Life Skills, and some of them she understands.
Sometimes..😺
This week has been a short working week at DR TOOT with
Monday being Queen’s Birthday. I would like to thank the many cats that sent me
good wishes, but I must explain that it wasn’t my Birthday. Thank you all the same. Being a short week meant that I didn’t
have the full five days to create and generate a lot of sales. I did however
manage to take an order for a new Tenor Sax and a C Clarinet. Not bad for only
4 days. Many accessories too went out the door and repairs were steady coming
in.
Things seem to be getting busy with Daddy again. He has been
out most of the weekend, rehearsing with the Howick Brass Band. This coming
week he will be out on Mondays night with the Manukau Concert Band rehearsing,
Tuesday night meeting and Wednesday night with the Howick Brass Band. Yup…it’s
all on again!!!!
Well, my fellow fans and followers, it’s time to catch up on some more beauty sleep and concentrate on the week to come. Be good and safe and I know you are looking forward when we meet again. 😸
