It’s very unsettling for Alfa and me. As you know I am a very sensitive cat and full of deep and meaningful emotions. Why BANG, BANG, BANG? This is because our workshop and showroom are being built. I didn’t ask for this. I was very happy the way things were but Daddy and Mummy wanted something different without asking me π
Everything should be completed in the next few weeks. The lights have changed, the tools are down, the workbenches are gone and sad for Alfa, me and the DR TOOT TEAM, is the absence of Mio…..She has gone back to Japan to be with her family again after a year with us at DR TOOT. The time has gone very fast and we will all miss her. By the way, she left because her Working Holiday Visa expired and not because of the BANG, BANG, BANGING or because of Alfa π We wish you well, Mio and thank you for your hard work and remember, you will always be a part of the DR TOOT family !
It’s not my fault that there are fewer sales this week. think that because of all the BANGING, we have scared away some customers, because it is always busy on my watch. On Monday a pre-loved Jupiter trumpet was sold to one of our customers who is a saxophone player. He wanted to try something different and so he came to us and bought the trumpet, like his saxophone from us. I gave him a wink and said thank you πΈ
In the middle
of the week, a lovely Yamaha Cornet found a new home in Christchurch. This of
course was an online sale so the customer wasn’t subjected to the horrible
noise of saws etc. Thank you all for your support. Many sales of accessories
too left the shop for parts all around New Zealand πΊ
The work shop is still operating, but in a different way. Mummy’s office is upstairs and Taka has the old office. Taka and Jordan have been busy with flutes, clarinets and saxophone repairs. Mummy’s old room is now the official woodwind repair workshop π» The old repair shop will be our new showroom and brass repair workshop. Just too exciting!!!!
Well, its that sad time again that I must say goodbye. As I mentioned, the shop should open in a few weeks time. If you are in Auckland, please pop in and mention how lovely the paint job on Daddy’s bench. You see….Daddy painted it and he is very proud of his work. For me, it’s just a bench but don’t tell Daddy I said that. Meow.... for now my very special followers πΈπΎ
PS: Breaking news...the Selmer Paris Seles Axos alto sax, which just arrived the other day, found a new home in Auckland this afternoon !!! π»
