A week of comings and goings

Waohhhh, what a week !!! Seems to me that everyone knows where 95 Uxbridge Rd is. Everyday, instruments were coming and going out of DR TOOT’s workshop. Clarinets, saxophones, flutes, trumpets and the rest came to the doctor for love attention and the kiss of life.

On Wednesday, our long awaited shipment from Japan arrived. Daddy was so funny – it looked like Christmas for him as he carefully unwrapped, two tenor saxes, one alto sax and accessories. All three saxophones look so cool and so shinny. Mummy and daddy took them all to pieces and cleaned them up. Mummy worked very hard cleaning and polishing the keys, while daddy made them play like new. Rico and I are so proud of them. They worked so hard to put food in our dishes…..specially Rico’s. I think they have to work harder than ever because Rico eats more than ever ! I am a lady…I’m Zara…Queen to you !

On Friday evening, mummy and daddy had visitors all the way from Rotorua. The gentleman said that he remembered daddy when daddy was younger, had lots of hair and no tummy. That must have been a long time ago :-) They came to look at a tenor sax mouthpiece and walked away with a mouthpiece and a tenor sax !!! We heard him to play it, and waohhhhh, what a sound ! He was a much much better player than daddy…..sorry, daddy !

Yesterday, another gentleman came over to try one of daddy’s and mummy’s beautiful flutes….and you guessed it…he ended up getting a gorgeous near new Yamaha alto saxophone ! People are so funny. They start thinking they want one thing, and end up getting something completely different. Cats are so simple…we know what we want, and we know how to get it. For example, Rico eats, and eats a lot. When he wants more he goes to mummy’s or daddy’s feet and rubs himself on them, which means “Give me biscuits !” I could never do this and am always grateful for what I receive. I am very humble.

I noticed that Rico last week mentioned about my near death experience. I was in so much pain. My tummy was soar, my head was hurting, and my life was bad. Did I complain ??? NEVER !!! Daddy took me to the Howick Vet, and as usual, they looked after me and brought me back to my strong and noble way. It was hard…they put the thermometer in a private place. I was not impressed, but we don’t talk about that ;-)

Well, my fans, it’s time to go. I know that you all wish me well and are very happy that I am feeling better…no thanks to Rico. Take care, stay cool and know that I’m here for you !
