Who’s in charge at DR TOOT !???

Is that a question ? Silly question when we all know the answer…it’s me, of course !!! I’m smarter, better looking and was here before Rico…and mummy ;-)

The start of the week began with a beautiful old solid silver Japanese Pearl flute that came in to DR TOOT, for its first service in over 30 years ! Mummy and daddy worked very hard to get this flute ready, as the gentleman needed it the next day. Waohhhhh, it was all systems go. Mummy had her head down polishing all the many little keys, while daddy got on with polishing the body and replacing some pads. The flute came in looking like Rico’s food dish and left looking as beautiful as me :-) They were so happy that as well as paying for the repair, they gave mummy and daddy a voucher to have a meal together………leaving Rico and I in charge ;-)

Later this week, an unusual clarinet arrived in a big clarinet case from Japan. Daddy was soooooo impatient and couldn’t wait for the courier to deliver at DR TOOT. He instead hopped into the TOOT mobile and off to the Airport Customs he went. I can see why daddy was so excited. Two clarinets and two clarinet mouthpieces arrived ! One of the clarinets arrived in a large clarinet case. This is because it was an A Yamaha SE Custom/Professional model - First time for DR TOOT ! A close friend and professional clarinettist came in and tried the A clarinet and was very very impressed. As well as the A clarinet, came a Yamaha YCL451 in an amazing new clarinet shoulder bag case….so cooooooool :-)))

Feathers, feathers everywhere, and not a bird to be seen. Just moments before an important visitor arrived, Rico brought in a lump of feathers from a bird that I killed in our lower estate. Typical numb nuts, trying to take all the credit for such a kill. Nice try, Rico, you cannot even kill a butterfly. Let him have his dream !

My subjects out there know that it is the start of the school holidays. Many calls of bookings for repairs/service have been made. It is not too late to book in your instruments, to be TOOTed ready for the next term :-) Don’t be late !

Tonight mummy will be listing two more clarinets on TradeMe. DR TOOT has more Yamaha alto and tenor saxophones on their way. There is such a huuuuuge demand that it is hard to try to keep up. If you are looking for a pre-loved saxophones…Be as quick as Rico eating biscuits !!! ….that’s quick ;-)
