Wow, such a rude early morning awakening ! My daddy got up when it was still dark and early. Somebody stole an hour from my morning. All you princesses out there, know the importance of our beauty sleep. It doesn’t matter for Rico, because he looks same anytime of day, that’s not pretty. Daddy tells me this is called “daylight savings”, but I call it daylight takings from me. There are not many hours in a day you know…
Last week was the last week of term and the last week for two weeks that I won’t see daddy’s students, (my fans) coming over for lessons. For me I know that they come to see me as well as get lessons. Term break also means that it will be very busy at DR TOOT. Many many many repairs have come in and more are due soon. If you haven’t booked, do it soon ! ;-)
One day this week, daddy arrived home from the airport with two boxes. One biiiig box and one Rico size box (small and not interesting looking). In the big box, there was a flute, a trumpet and a never been seen in New Zealand, a silver Yamaha tenor sax YTS62Sll. This looks amaaaaaaaaazing and when daddy played it, it made a biiiiiiiiiiiig dark mellow sound. I must admit that I was a little scared, but don’t tell Rico ;-)
In the smaller box, there were small clarinet pads all the way from Italy ! This is the country of pizza, music, arts and the land that mummy loves the most. As you know, mummy always talks to Rico and me in Italian. Rico pretends to understand Italian but I find this hard to believe because he has trouble understanding English. He knows the words “sleep and eat” in both languages. Enough said :-)
Daddy’s voice is back ! For a few days, daddy lost his voice and it was sooooo lovely and quiet in the house ;-) Mummy was very happy, because she could boss him around and he couldn’t say anything about it. I wonder if Rico could ever lose his voice…….Now daddy is getting over a sore shoulder. Mummy says that daddy is getting old – I think so two and Rico thinks so three, hahahahaha.
Well, my friends, it’s an hour more tonight to catch lizards and butterflies and walk the estate. Sleep well, enjoy your break and visit me and DR TOOT of course, if you have time ;-)
