Winter time…a time to relax and reflect

I enjoy winter time. Winter to me means warm fires, relaxing times with my daddy in the shop and cuddles. Daddy always has a chair set for me to watch him in the workshop near where he is working. I have to be careful because there are so many instruments on the bench. School holidays have started and there are many instruments arriving such as saxophones, clarinets and flutes….but he always has time to give me a cuddle :-)

In the office I have noticed mummy wrapping off many accessories and instruments off to new homes. Our most popular selling alto sax (YAS32) has been sold and will leave tomorrow to it’s  new home in Thorndon Wellington. A Yamaha (YTS34II) has also spread its wings for Dunedin. Our instruments and accessories go all over the place. I am thinking that one day I will wrap up Rico and send him somewhere….far away, hahahaha.

As I mentioned before, school holidays have started. This means that there will be much fewer students coming around for lessons. It gives daddy more time in the work shop and gives my delicate ears a bit of a rest. It is so important for the students that I am there when they have their lessons. I have two good ears and know a good sound when I hear it…..they need me.  It is not easy being so important…this is something Rico knows nothing about.

Time for me to sleep again, curled up on the couch. Be good, safe, and relax and enjoy the clear fresh mornings of winter. Looking forward to our chat in two weeks time. I’m sorry, but you have Rico next week.
