Yes, it’s Easter again.
Happy Easter to all my friends ! Mummy and daddy have been chilling out at
home, doing many things about the house. Lawns are done, garden is looking
great and mummy and daddy seem to be relaxing a little, which is not often
seen. Having said that, they still spend a bit of time working in the repair
shop and office. Alfa and I think they work too hard. They need a holiday.
This week has seen the
arrival of a beautiful Bach 180-37 Silver Trumpet. It is the best Bach trumpet
we have had in stock and it comes with a double case that can fit another
trumpet….or Alfa J A couple of instruments have found new homes
this week. A Yamaha Clarinet has found a home in Christchurch, a Yamaha flute
was picked up from here for someone here in Auckland and our SML Baritone Sax
has found a home with one of schools in Auckland. We know they will really
enjoy it. Bernie Allen, a long time friend of daddy’s came around to test it
out on Friday and gave it the OK!!
Some of you may know
that daddy is on the lookout for a new tuba. Daddy has been playing a beautiful
Jupiter Professional CC Tuba with 5 valves. It’s time to move on, so now he is
looking for a German CC 5 valve tuba. Daddy says that it will sound darker and
a little louder….oh dear….sorry friends that live nearby. Watch this space for
what happens next. This means that the famous TOOT TUBA will be up for sale.
Watch our website for more info on the sale for the tuba…..soon.
Tomorrow is going to be
a loud time at DR TOOT. In the afternoon, 4 members of the Brass Quintet are
arriving here to rehears from 2pm till 4 pm in our house. I think I will spend
my time upstairs away from them. Sorry daddy, but it’s not my thing. Alfa will
probably hang around for attention, but I think will soon leave them. I’m sure
they will have fun…..
We hope you all have a
Happy Easter and spend time with your family. Enjoy the break and be kind to
one another. I will with Alfa….most of the time. Be good J
