It’s been a funny sort of week this week. Busy as always
in the repair shop, but not so busy with sales. Daddy seems to be doing an awful
lot of repairs on clarinets. So much so, that he has made another large order
to Italy for more pads. This week daddy did, two complete overhauls and many Plan
A Services on clarinets. As well as clarinets, there have been saxophones, oboe,
trumpets, flutes, etc. It’s just as well daddy really enjoys his work, because,
he always seems to be so busy!!
A few instruments arrived this week for daddy to get
ready for sale. They were a Yamaha YAS62 Alto Sax, a Keilwerth ST90 Soprano Sax
and a Yamaha YFL411 Solids Silver Flute.
We also received from Paris France, a new Selmer Paris Bass Clarinet
that goes down to the low C. This was a special order for a customers of DR TOOT’s.
The Flute and Alto Saxophone are ready for sale and soon the soprano sax will
be too. Apart from instruments, there have been many accessories that have
arrived from overseas.
This week a Yamaha YFL211S II flute was sold as well as a
Yamaha YPC62 Piccolo. This was our first Piccolo sale and went to a very
special customer of ours who has bought many things in the past from us. All
customers are special, but she is really, really special J The Yamaha flute was a
special order from a customer in Havelock North. She was so excited to receive the flute ! We
hope that she has been playing it and enjoys it a lot ! A few other instruments
were looked at this week too and I am sure Alfa will have some news on those
next week. Alfa as we know always has something to say. I must not encourage
her to say too much.
Apart from work it has been busy here at home. New roses
were planted in the garden, new glasses for daddy and a concert coming up next
week where daddy will be playing tuba with the Manukau Symphony Orchestra
playing Dvorak Symphony 6. I wish I could go to the concert, but cats are not
invited. I can understand Alfa not being able to go, but I am Queen Zara. I
guess somebody has to stay behind to look after her. Have a great week everybody
