It’s been another busy week at the house of TOOT. Daddy and Shoko have been very bust with
customer repairs and mummy has been very busy with sales orders, invoicing,
packing goods and all the other things that keep DR TOOT moving along. For Alfa
and I, it’s life as usual. As long as there is food in our dishes and blankets
or pillows to rest on, then life is good J
Humans are so needy. Simple is best for Alfa and I.
On Tuesday we received another alto saxophone from Selmer.
It was a Selmer Jubilee Series II Alto Saxophone with beautiful engraving on
the bell and body. These instruments almost seem too beautiful to play. I
wonder how long we will hold onto this one. Everybody wants the best and Selmer’s
are the best!!! The saxophone came in a beautiful case which was in a very
sturdy box. The box was great to hide from Alfa. I just hop inside and wait to
hear her. When she is near, I jump out and give her a scare. It works every time.
I love playing these games with Alfa. On Saturday we also received a pre-loved Jupiter
trumpet. This will be an ideal instrument for someone starting off or someone
who is looking for a great buy.
Do you like roses? I love roses and they always look so
pretty next to me. Mummy and daddy have been busy a few weeks ago planting
roses and they are now looking so beautiful. Pink, red and cream colored roses
and wow they smell so lovely. Today, mummy was up early weeding the garden and
making everything look good. Alfa and I had time outside making sure mummy was
ok….and then it happened! Alfa went missing. We called and called for her, but
no answer. I noticed that she was on the top of the fence and someone next door
told us that she was on the fence behind our tress. Mummy and daddy looked very
worried. I told Alfa that enough was enough and to get down. She did of course
and went straight inside. Naughty Alfa, but at least she had the good sense to
listen to me and come down.
I am watching mummy watering the flowers. I will keep my
distance as I don’t want to get wet. Daddy was watering the roses the other day
and sprayed the water on me. He said sorry, but I don’t think it was an
accident….We haven’t seen much of daddy this weekend because he is in rehearsal
with the Manukau Symphony Orchestra. They will be performing The Planets, which
daddy says has a huge tuba part. Again…this is another concert I won’t be going
to.
I best go and help out in the kitchen. Mummy is busy there and she needs my
help. There is only so much Alfa can do and it usually isn’t much!!! Be Happy J J J
