Kia kaha aotearoa

As usual, lots of things are happening at DR TOOT and my tiny brain tries to catch up everything J

The team minus Masaru has been very busy with repairs/services. Some instruments from schools are still arriving from everywhere in NZ as well as instruments from private customers. Masaru is coming back to work on Monday, so daddy and Taka would be happier…and of course, Zara !

Monday started unexpected sale…one of our customers who purchased a clarinet from us before came in and tried a brand new Backun Beta clarinet and she fallen love with it and sound. So, she left with the new clarinet J

Then, the pre-loved Yamaha alto sax YAS32 has found a new home in Palmerston North. The new owner is a school boy who plays in the school band. Hope that he enjoys playing the saxophone !

Lots of brand new instruments are due to arrive here soon…Briccialdi student model flutes, a semi pro model and a top handmade pro model flute from Italy. Also, from France, Selmer Paris Reference 54 antique finish alto sax and tenor sax and Seles Axos alto sax as well as lots of Selmer accessories.
All flutes would be displayed at the Hamilton Flute Festival and all saxophones are going to be displayed at the Youth Jazz Competition in Tauranga in April….ummm, exciting….meow meow J

On Friday, the 15th, the day started with a beautiful weather here in Howick, Auckland. In the late afternoon, it turned the darkest day in New Zealand history. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people of Christchurch. The day won’t ever be the same…we all watched the TV after work. It was quite emotional.

Stay strong and safe, everyone…
