Last week of School Holiday’s!

Holidays for some but not for the team at DR TOOT.  So very, very  busy making sure everybody gets their instrument on time. If we say it will be done on time, it will be done on time. We had many saxophones, flutes, clarinets and brass instruments in for servicing. All were completed 😸

We had more instruments for stock arrive in from Japan this week. A beautiful Yamaha 480 Alto Sax, Vito Clarinet, Yamaha Trumpet, Yamaha 62 LSE, (very special limited edition) Alto sax and a Buffet E12 wooden Clarinet. All of these instruments on top of the balance of school repairs were all serviced and listed on our website. Mummy took so many photos and described all the instruments. Our mummy has been so busy too packing all the instruments to be sent to different schools all around New Zealand.

There are many happy people out there that have received instruments from us this week. A girl is a proud owner of a new, solid silver tubing flute from Briccialdi. This flute also features open hole, split E and B Foot. A huge step up from her student Yamaha student flute.

A gentleman from Whakatane came in yesterday to pick up his new amazing Selmer Paris Bass Clarinet that goes down to Low C. This is an amazing beast with all the bells and whistles you can imagine. The sound he made was also truly amazing and he had a smile from ear to ear. His partner left her vintage Dolnet Tenor Sax for us to rebuild. This particular saxophone is a little unusual and will give the team at DR TOOT another exciting challenge 😊

Yesterday our first shipment of B.A.C. Trumpets and Trombones left Kansas City bound for New Zealand. They should arrive in NZ on Wednesday and in our shop by the end of the week. This is a new adventure for DR TOOT and one that we hope will give lots of joy to our Jazz Trumpet and Trombone players. Please check into our website for more details.

Speaking of websites….mummy is working on our new website so please watch out for that. Time for me to go now and catch a little more sleep. All this typing takes a lot out of me. All the best for the students starting their final term of the year tomorrow. Nighty night a noodle….😸
