It was a slow start to the week. Taka had Monday off, which left Mio, Jordan and daddy working hard in the workshop. Mummy is always working hard in the office and never has any days off. Most afternoons I see Alfa on mummy’s desk, but I don’t think she is there to help. Alfa I think has grand ideas of being important and by sitting on mummy’s desk makes it look as if she is helping mum. I don’t think so! She is there to soak up the feeling of power and to look cute….whatever…
The week started slow sales-wise but pretty busy in repairs. On Wednesday it was the first of July which is Canada Day. This day means little to most people here, but for daddy who is Canadian, means a lot. No flag waving or singing…..(thank goodness), but a day when he reflexes on where he was born.. There was a buzz in the air that day and it wasn’t just about Canada Day.
A sale of the smallest and largest instrument going to a school in Hamilton. I sold with the help from daddy, a Yamaha piccolo and a JP CC Tuba! Daddy will personally deliver these instruments when the new term begins in two weeks. Later that day a recently arrived, Yamaha 380 Tenor Sax too found a new home. Instruments don’t stay too long at DR TOOT’S. We pride ourselves in bringing in top quality and top condition musical instruments from Japan and service them in our fully equipped shop. The week was a busy with repairs coming in and finished off with a sale of a Yamaha YCL650 to a young local girl who made a beautiful sound on it. She has been playing a student plastic clarinet and has moved onto a professional wooden clarinet. We heard that her teacher was really impressed with her sound and tone. Well done!!!
Well tomorrow makes the beginning
of the school holidays and term 3 will start on July 20th. Many
customers and schools have booked in their instruments for servicing. It’s still
not too late to book yours in. The TOOT Team is ready. Well I am feeling a bit
chilly and better curl up in front of the heater. Thank you everybody again for
listening to my words of wisdom and common sense. Stay healthy and be kind like
me. I am trying my best with Alfa. Life for me is a test……πΌπΈ
