Towards the end of the party, Rico and I were locked in mummy and daddy’s bed room. Why, I ask, lock me in the same room with Rico. What have I done wrong ? It was hard for me to listen to the laughter and not be a part of the party. I am always invited to the best of parties. It’s all about me, you know.
Later in the evening, when all guests had left, Rico made a mad dash for the cat door and escaped for about two hours. It was lucky for him and for me, because I at least got some sleep and peace. To show him that I really did miss him, I left the top basket empty for him. Please don’t tell him that I missed him a little. But with Rico being Rico, he came back when his tummy was empty (like his head), woke me up, talked all night about his adventures and midnight meeting with Fluffy.
