End of week one of the holidays…but no holiday here!!

Well, it’s the end of the first week of the school holidays. I miss not seeing daddy’s students come and go, but I know daddy is enjoying the break. Not that daddy is having a working break. No way!! My daddy, DRTOOT, is so busy with repairs. A school sent daddy 19 instruments last week and just the other day, gave him another 8. Because he is so organised, he will make sure that they will all be done and on time. Personally, I think mummy has a lot to do with this….she always reminds him what he has to do and by when. She says that she is just reminding him, but he calls it another thing….oh dear..

As Alfa said last week, mummy and daddy have been very busy too in the garden. With many new flowers, daddy bought a new hose and fittings to help water the garden. Daddy did a silly thing last week. He sprayed the water at me instead of the flowers. He said that it was an accident. I don’t think so. Silly daddy. Some how I don’t think it was an accident. Maybe he thought I was Alfa. Yesterday mummy and daddy bought another Little Gem tree. The one they planted for my little brother Rico died, and had to be replaced. The very kind people at Kings Garden Centre replaced the tree at no cost and gave mummy and daddy lots of helpful suggestions on how to make a better planting of the new one.

On Saturday and Sunday, daddy’s youngest daughter, Philippa stayed with us in the spare room. Alfa and Philippa played while I rested. It was so wonderful not to have Alfa always following me around and being a pain. It was nice seeing her. I am not always sure about little people. They always want to pick you up and play, when sometimes, all I want to do is sleep.

Late in the week DR TOOT, sold a lovely Jupiter flute to a nice family near Tauranga. They were up in Howick today dropping off their other flute to be serviced. They saw me and I know felt very honoured in that. I have a certain air and presence around me that is special. It’s not my fault that I am so wonderful and modest.

Time to say good night and get ready for another night sharing a room with Alfa. With so many rooms in this house….why do I have to share with her??? JJJ
