This week we had our
first shipment of Gottsu mouthpieces from Japan. These are hand-made and
finished professional mouthpieces. We have soprano, alto, tenor and baritone
sax mouthpieces now in stock. Mummy and
daddy say that they are very good, but for me they look like any other
mouthpiece….but what would I know about that??? This is not the only thing that
arrived this week from Japan. A Bass clarinet, a top professional Yamaha
trumpet, a solid silver flute with gold lip plate and a semi professional
beautiful Yamaha Oboe. Daddy has been working so hard to get these
ready for sale. He has done the oboe and trumpet. The others will follow.
It’s been a sad week
for daddy. Johnny Williams, a good friend of daddy’s and a very fine musician
passed away early on Monday morning. He was an amazing flute, clarinet and
saxophone player as well as a very good friend. Many of daddy’s students will
remember Johnny coming to hear them play at our house and offering good advice.
Johnny also loved us. Every time he came to our home, he made a special effort
to cuddle me. Johnny loved animals as much as he loved all things. You will
always be in our hearts…always..
On a happier note….it was mummy’s birthday on Friday. She
again is one year younger. Bubbles were opened and Alfa and I got mummy some
chocolate J
Daddy of course got it, but I arranged it. Speaking again of birthdays….mine is
next Friday. It’s Alfa’s turn to do the blog next Sunday, and I know she will
have glowing things to say about me…she better!!!
