It’s not easy waiting for daddy…

There are times when I just wish I could get to the computer and use it, but my nails are too long so I have to wait for daddy.  Daddy has been out quite a bit with rehearsals and things.  This week he has been a bit busy with repairs, teaching and rehearsals. As some of you know, daddy had Man Flu. This is not to be confused with Normal Flu or Cat Flu. No, this was Man Flu and daddy looked almost dead most of the time.

Monday this week was daddy’s first proper day back at work. He was still coughing and complaining, but there were many instruments to do and daddy had to do them. The shop must go on! In no time everything seemed to get done and I was there always making sure he got them done. Teaching resumed as usual and that seemed to go fine.

As far as sales….well, two instruments arrived from Japan this week. A Yamaha YFL411 flute and a Yamaha student model trombone. The flute was ordered for a customer and we have since heard that she is very very happy with it. Although we sold only 1 instrument this week, we have sold many accessories. I know this, because I see mummy put out many packets out for the courier to pick up. Always busy at DR TOOTS.

Apart from the instruments arriving in from Japan, we also received more Gonzalez Reeds from Argentina. Our stocks look great, but are always moving quickly. Many people love them and they make reeds for all types of clarinets and saxophone and for all types of style. Gonzalez Reeds really rule at DR TOOTS.

The reason this blog is late, is because daddy has just got home from playing with the NZ POPS Orchestra. As usual, they played a wide range of classics and rock/Pop music. Daddy even had a couple of solos and was mentioned in front of a full Town Hall about daddy’s playing and about DR TOOT. I think my daddy is famous. Daddy doesn’t think so. He just loves his tuba (Anton) and so loves performing. Speaking of performing….daddy was asked by the University of Auckland’s Music Department to perform tuba for the Orchestras concert of Shostakovich Symphony 9. That concert comes in a few weeks time so more on that later.

Alfa has some exciting news to share with you next week, so I better say nothing right now. You see mummy and daddy are @!%#*^&@#)! ….sorry can’t say anything. It’s late and time for me to go. Thank you as always for your loyalty and time. I remain your queen and trusted cat….Queen Zara J
