What a great week at DR TOOT’S. First thing Monday morning
started with a customer coming here to try a flute. A few years ago, she bought
a Yanagisawa soprano sax from DR TOOT and has been very happy with it. At that
time, she bought it at a concert they were all attending, so she never came
here to buy it. This time, I believe she wanted to try the flute at our place
and meet me. Alfa was again under mummy’s desk because she again was afraid of
the big digger next door. Anyway…..the nice lady played the flute for a long
time and I listened to her from the comfort of my bed in the living room. She
appreciated me being there and giving my personal opinions on what it sounded like.
After about an hour, she decided to buy the beautiful Muramatsu Professional Flute.
She was very, very happy and so was mummy and daddy. Well done ME! J
The rest of the week was very busy too. Two more instruments
arrived in from Japan. One of them is a Vincent Bach 42BG Professional Bb/F
Trombone. Daddy said that it has an amazing slide and lovely rich sound. The
other instrument is a Yamaha YTR 4325GS Trumpet. This semi professional trumpet
is made of gold brass and is silver plated. Some lucky person in New Zealand
will be the proud owner of one of these instruments. I wish I could play!
It’s been a busy week for repairs. As you may know, the end
of term 3 school holidays, starts this week. That means that daddy will stop
teaching for 2 weeks. This gives daddy a break and some peace and quiet in our
home. With school holidays, comes many repairs. Fourteen instruments came from
1 school on Friday…..busy busy busy daddy. As well as the school instruments,
there are many private instruments due in so it may be holidays for school
kids, but not for mummy and daddy.
Daylight saving
started today. This means that the mornings are a little darker than before and
the days are lighter in the evenings. I don’t mind this at all as it means that
I can stay outside a little longer and also tells me that summer is on it’s
way. Summer means, warm evenings and lots of BBQ’s outside. Sometimes daddy
accidently drops some food on the ground while cooking. Alfa and love it when
that happens!!!!! It’s time for me to say goodbye again and leave it for Alfa
to share the news next week. Enjoy the extra bit of daylight and time outdoors.
