Now we are 5…

I speak to you all from the comfort of mummy’s office. Mummy has a very comfortable chair in her office that Alfa is often seen sleeping on. Alfa has recently been seen sleeping on my blanket in the living room. Who does she think she is??? I for now will use her chair to deliver my thoughts and comments to the wide world.

Speaking of the wide world…..Daddy has been seen, twice this week at Auckland International Airport. On Monday morning at about 9.15am, Daddy was there, picking up Shoko. Shoko is from Japan and is the newest team member of DR TOOT. She trained under a very famous Musical Instrument Repairer in Japan and she is here to work with us. Her specialty is clarinets and saxophones, although she can do everything. She is a very welcome member to our repair team and is already working very hard. Daddy’s next trip to the airport was to see the arrival of his daughter, Kathryn from a 7 month trip around Europe. Her flight arrived in at 11.15pm on Tuesday night, but she didn’t get through Custom until an hour later. Daddy was very happy to see her, but he made a little bit of noise when he came back at about  2am. Alfa and I were not happy as we were sound asleep…..

It has been another exciting week at DR TOOT. Many repairs keep coming in and Daddy and Shoko are busy getting things done. Now mummy has to worry about 2 people in the workshop and make sure they are ok and on track for the repairs. As some of you know, on Thursday, 13th November, we are having  a Selmer Night with  special guest artists. Because of this, we are getting in more instruments, accessories and mouthpieces. Two saxophones with mouthpieces, arrived the other day. They were a Selmer Paris alto sax Jubilee Series II and a Selmer Paris tenor sax Jubilee Series II.  Both came in beautiful cases complete with accessories. We have goose necks arriving next week, and I am sure Alfa will talk about that. It’s all happening here at DR TOOT.

I think it’s time to sign off. I hear sounds in the kitchen as Daddy and Shoko are cooking dinner tonight. This is daddy’s way of saying thank you to mummy for all her support and extra work. I think he should do more than just one meal!!!!  It is a roast and anybody can do a roast. Oh well…..Please be good and kind to others. I am trying hard to be kind to Alfa. Really hard J I ask all of you to be thoughtful to others less fortunate than yourself….like Alfa !
