Planets

I have been doing a lot of sleeping this week. The weather has been sunny and then raining and always very windy. The two blankets that are always on the couch for me to sleep on have been removed. So my new spot is in between 2 cushions on the couch. I call it my cat cave. Alfa likes to sleep behind the curtains where it is darker……hmmmmm issues…

This has been a very busy week for sales, repairs and music. Let’s start with sales. Four instruments arrived from Japan this week. A Yamaha YTS34ll Tenor sax, two YFL 311 Flutes and a Selmer Paris Series II Alto Sax. Almost as soon as Daddy finished servicing it, a customer came in and bought the Yamaha YTS34ll. Wow, another fast  sale. Today a pre loved Jupiter trumpet has found a new home.

Repairs are coming in from all over the place. This is the time of year when many people bring in their instruments for servicing and I don’t see everyone as I have been sleeping, but Alfa tells me that it is busy. On Friday, Daddy and Shoko went to a school and picked up many instruments and will pick up more this week from other schools. It’s all GO in the workshop. Because Daddy and Shoko are busy, this means more work for mummy as she has to do all the invoices and packing. Mummy has to work twice as hard as before. No rest here.

Regarding music…Daddy was out on Wednesday night practicing with the Howick Brass Band. On Thursday and Friday night he was practicing with the Manukau Symphony Orchestra and on Saturday night he was performing with the orchestra playing a piece called The Planets. He didn’t come home till late that night, but I heard that it was a great concert J While mummy and Shoko went to see the concert, Alfa and I enjoyed home alone J

Time for me to go. Alfa is outside with mummy and I better go and keep an eye on Alfa. You know what I mean. She is too young to be out without my watching over her !
