Muggy Muggy Moggy...

First of all, I must apologize to everyone who reads our blog regularly. As you may noticed that my big sis, Zara did forget (yup, forgot J) her turn last Sunday…YES, she is getting OLD 😀

Well, this week started with a public holiday “Auckland Anniversary Day”. The business was closed but mummy and daddy were working. Daddy had to catch up his job, so he stayed and worked at the workshop.

It’s been soooooo muggy and hot here in Auckland…but it’s not only in Auckland but also all over New Zealand. It seems that summer finally has arrived. Our house does not have a heat pump (air conditioner), so all windows are opened. YES, that means I am outside all the time…YES, that means I am on leash all the time. I enjoy the outside under the shade on the concrete 😸 Zara complains a lot…too hot !!!

The short week made us so busy and wondered where the week has gone !? On Thursday, familiar faces (mother & daughter) visited DR TOOT. They play the trumpet and wanted to try our Kanstul 700 series Bb trumpet. Both of them liked the sound and were very happy with it. Well, the Kanstul trumpet has found a new home here in Howick !

Next day, one of our customers came with his wife. He wanted to try the Selmer Paris Seles “Prologue” Bb clarinet. He tried it and loved the dark and warm sound. Another instrument has found a new home…very good 😺

We are a small business but we sell high quality products - Kanstul and Selmer Paris instruments are available only  from DR TOOT in New Zealand…I am a just cat but I am so proud of that 😼

Also, two pre-loved oboes, which were serviced by Taka, have left for their new home in Invercargill.

The boys are still pretty busy working on the last of the school instruments which came in a few days ago, and now catching up on the private repairs which have been here for a short while. Our turnover is usually pretty short but because of this time of year, it has been a bit longer. There is a real buzz in the workshop and more instruments are still coming in.

Well, it’s time for me to hop back onto my outside chair and feel the cool late afternoon breeze cool down my whiskers 😎😊😸
