All about sound at
DR TOOT. A cat of DR TOOT has to have
good ears to listen to. Daddy was very
busy practicing tuba part for the Saturday concert with Manukau Symphony
Orchestra (MSO) - Mahler 1. We heard the
same pieces all the time…again and again.
He had to go out for rehearsals for a few nights and also went to brass quintet
rehearsal one night. We missed daddy at
night time this week, especially my big sis Zara wasn’t happy…she was lonely without
daddy.
Two students of daddy had a Trinity Exam on Friday. He always goes to see his students at an exam
place how they are doing no matter how busy he is….Also this time, he went to
cheer them up. Daddy told us that they did
very well…well done, Jasper and Cameron !
Saturday night, MSO had a concert and cerebrated the 20th
anniversary ! Wow, 20 years old, much
older than me J
Mind you, I will be three year-old next year, that means I will be 21 in human
age. Wow, I will catch up…Amazing !
Well, mummy told us that the concert was full and great ! Daddy was
emotional and nervous, but he played very well - the sound was very smooth and
full. Mummy was soooooo proud of him…Zara too…of
course, me three JJJ
Two pre-loved instruments have found new home this week –
a Yamaha flute 311ll went to a new owner in Feilding through TradeMe, and one
of our customers in Lower Hutt purchased a Yanagisawa alto sax A880. More reeds from Gonzalez in Argentina arrived
this week. Daddy had caught up his
repairs and had quiet moments….then soon some instruments for repairs and
services have arrived again from everywhere New Zealand. So, daddy was working in the afternoon today…and
mummy was busy packing sold accessories.
While mummy and daddy were working today, Zara and I had a
very quiet Sunday. I tried to escape
once but wasn’t successful….it was raining outside, so that’s ok….never mind ! After
concert, today no more music…YES, it was damn quiet J
