Patience is a virtue

I am usually a very patient girl. I have my routines. Wake up, outside to do my business….Alfa always uses the pooooo box. I am above that, then inside for breakfast. For the past few weeks it has been dark outside, so I have my privacy. But now that daylight savings has finished, it is very light outside in the morning and everybody can see what I am up to in the weee hours. After breakfast, it’s up on the couch for a short 4 hour cat nap. A girl has got to look her best you know. Alfa has too much energy in the morning. She wants to play and learn more about life from me. I am tired and often lose my patients. I am not getting old; it’s just that Alfa isn’t growing up. She has so much to learn.

This week, a few instruments have arrived in from Japan. A Yamaha YAS 275 alto sax and a vintage Yamaha YAS 31 alto sax. As well as these lovely saxophones, we also received a stunning Vincent Bach Strad 180 37 Bb trumpet in silver plated finish. I can see myself in the shiny bell. We also received a Yamaha Bb/F professional trombone. It’s like Christmas at DR TOOT’S. Tools in from America and pads in from Italy. We are so international! A couple of instruments too have found new homes. A professional Yamaha Custom clarinet and student flute have both gone down to Wellington J

Daddy had three of his saxophone students play at an Open Day at the Uxbridge Arts Centre on Saturday. He was so proud of them and they played so well. I know all three personally as I always greet them when they come.  It is part of my job and it always gives me great pleasure !

Alfa is happy now because she has found her little ball that she loves to play with. I am hoping that this will zap some of that excess energy from her body and give me a rest. Alfa will have lots to say I am sure next Sunday as it will be Easter weekend. Be good, stay well and have the patients that I have, and you will be fine J
