Limited Edition

Yes, it’s done…like my big sis, Zara said last week, all instruments from schools have been serviced and delivered.  It was the busiest summer DR TOOT has ever experienced  – over 300 instruments from schools. Daddy and Shoko delivered instruments to the last school on Tuesday.

Then, Zara and I thought that the workshop will be quiet…but, this year is a bit different. Much busier than ever….it’s good thing J There are still lots of instruments from our private customers – they are lining up and waiting for DR TOOT’s care !

We don’t know why but lots of flutes and trumpets came to see DR TOOT this week. From Napier, Blenheim, Tauranga, Auckland…etc.  From Dunedin, a pre-loved Yamaha piccolo YPC32 arrived on Friday. The owner of the piccolo wanted to upgrade.  So, DR TOOT has traded it in for the Yamaha handmade piccolo YPC81. It will be leaving for Dunedin tomorrow.

Thursday, our long waits finally finished – a big parcel has arrived from Selmer in France. It had a Selmer double case for our customer - it was a special order and has left for Hasting ! and the Limited Edition Alto Sax the 130th Anniversary Model !!! Mummy and daddy ordered this saxophone in November and waited, waited and waited…it is completely handmade, so it takes a long time to make it. The limited edition number 47….ummmm, Zara and I have checked it up and we must say that it is absolutely unique and gorgeous…just like me, and yes, it is in silver colour too JJJ

On Friday, it was Waitangi Day and we had a long weekend. The customer from Tauranga visited us with his Yanagisawa tenor saxophone 991. Daddy overhauled his clarinet before and he was very happy with it. So, he came back J

Then, Saturday while daddy was away, a familiar face came to collect his vintage saxophone from us. He tried it and he left with happy face…another satisfied customer J

Yes, daddy was away most of Saturday…he had a stag party ! Zara and I were in bed and we heard a noise….daddy was back before midnight. Mummy thought that it was early…the truth is that daddy was toooooo old to hang out with much younger people…oh, well J
