Zara and Selmer Paris Rocks!!!

How do you know when it is Zara’s week???...because the sales keep coming. Yes, what can I say? It’s been another good week at DR TOOT. For me it’s the joy that there are many people out there enjoying one of our instruments and they didn’t pay the earth for it. As you all know, at DR TOOT our aim is to get high quality instruments in for sale at prices that are affordable and responsible….like me!

The week started off with a sale of our Yamaha Custom Clarinet. The gentleman in Oamaru was playing a rental plastic clarinet and wanted a quality wooden one. So he called us and got this beautiful one from us.

On Thursday, we sold our Pre-loved Yamaha YAS275 Alto sax to a customer of ours in Blenheim. Our customer has sent up previously their Jupiter Tenor sax for servicing and now was in the market for a great alto.

On Friday, we had a visit from Drew Hutchinson. Drew is a very good friend of ours and is the Gonzalez Reeds Artist for New Zealand and plays a Selmer Paris alto sax and Selmer clarinet. He came at morning tea and brought many human yummy treats for all the humans at DR TOOT to enjoy with coffee.  After the yummy’s and coffee, Drew tried out a few instruments we have here including the recently arrived Selmer Paris Privilege Clarinet and the recently arrived Selmer Seles alto sax. He made such a beautiful sound on both that it made me cry and made Alfa stop eating for a few minutes. He loved them both!

About two hours after Drew left, we received a phone call from New Plymouth from a customer looking for a great Alto Saxophone. Of course she has heard of Selmer and before you can say “Alfa loves Food”, she bought our first Selmer Paris Seles Alto Saxophone. It was wizzed off on Friday afternoon and hopefully will arrive on Monday. New Plymouth will hear the sound of music with this lovely Selmer Seles Alto Saxophone. The first one sold in New Zealand!!!!

As you see, it’s been a busy week. The repair shop too has been busy with Buescher Baritone sax Gold Service and many other instruments getting their kiss of life again. Mummy has been busy with accessory sales and marketing for our Selmer Night workshops which will be held in Auckland and Wellington as well as getting things ready for the up, coming New Zealand Concert Band Festival being held in Rotorua next month. Daddy too has been busy and I was able to spend some quality time with time last night as we watched the All Black’s Rugby kick Alfa Butt and win against Australia…HURRAH!!!!

Time to rest as it was a late game last night. I love you all and I know you love me most! You know where I live. Come over sometime and say….”Zara….You Rock”……because I do… :)
