10 Days and Counting!!!

Amazing. Only 10 days of winter remaining. That’s right….only 10 days!!!!! Winter has been very mild here in Auckland New Zealand. We don’t get snow here, but it can get pretty cold. Alfa and I wear our winter coats all year round, and we haven’t had to grow more for winter. When I walk around my estate, I notice that all the roses, have lovely fresh leaves on them and many flowers are already opening and showing me how beautiful they are. Alfa can only view this from inside looking out a window, as she is only an inside cat. Not to be trusted in the great outdoors, and she calls herself a cat…huh!

Some might have thought that summer had already hit DR TOOT. On Tuesday this week a shipment of 10 instruments arrived from an organisation for servicing and on Saturday, a further 30 instruments arrived. What’s going on??? I don’t understand what is happening, but all I know is that it is going to be pretty busy here. It’s not like Shoko and Daddy are quiet with work. Completely opposite. They have been working so hard getting instruments done and ready for musicians all around New Zealand.

More goodies have arrived here from Japan. They included 5 Yamaha Cornets and 2 Yamaha Euphoniums. These were ordered from a Brass Band that were looking for quality, preloved instruments. They saw that we didn’t have any in stock at that time and ordered all these instrument to be added to their fast growing band. Remember that if you are looking for something special, and we don’t have it in stock, you can always tell mummy what you are looking for and at a budget that suits you. She will hunt in Japan for get the instrument you are looking for at a price that fits your budget. Our mummy is very, very clever. So call mummy and see if she can find something for you.

I was a bit down this week because although it has been pretty crazy busy in the workshop, it has been a bit quiet for sales…until yesterday, A lovely family with their oldest daughter, came in to try our Conn 88H Trombone that we recently received for stock. She made a beautiful sound and her mummy and daddy bought it for her. It is her birthday soon and this was going to be her present. Lucky Girl. WOW.

Well this lucky girl is going to grab a little sleep now. I must have my beauty sleep. I am looking younger and younger each day. Until next time my wonderful followers…Zara rules, Alfa….never going to happen.
