One Festival done…Another coming !!!

Yes, that’s right. The Brass Band Festival finished a few weeks ago where Howick Brass won the C Grade division for New Zealand. In a couple of weeks time, the New Zealand Concert Band Festival will be held in Wellington.

Dr Toot is one of the sponsors for this festival and daddy will be playing tuba with the Manukau Concert Band (MCB), on the Saturday night.  MCB played today in a concert at St. Andrew's Church in Howick with the Manukau Academy Band, and other soloists in the band that will be participating in the festival. The piece of music is called Dances from Crete by Adam Gorb. Google it and listen to it on youtube. Great tuba part and great piece 😎

I have nothing really to report about this week at DR TOOT. A Yamaha YTS380 Tenor Sax has arrived in from Japan for sale and is being serviced by Taka. On Monday, a shipment of brass mouthpieces arrived from Germany, The company, Arnolds and Sons, make a wide range of mouthpieces from cornet to tuba and are the most competitive priced and quality mouthpieces we have ever seen. If you are looking for a great trumpet, cornet, tenor horn, French horn trombone, etc mouthpiece….give us a call or check out our website for more information 😸

This coming week is a special week for daddy. I have been giving him many cuddles and purrs. On Wednesday is daddy’s Birthday!!!! He was born on a Wednesday in 1956, so do the Math’s. I think he looks so young, but I have to say that as he is the one typing this blog for me…..if you know what I mean…🙀

Well, I must go and curl up on my black pillow on the couch. Try and find a cool spot for my friends in the States and Europe and those down under here, stay warm and remember that Queen Zara warmth and love is everywhere 😁😸😸
